Some preservation is in order

- View of the barn from the south. We’d like to place windows along this side to allow light for a workshop
- Front view of the barn. The door was hung a little low, and is very hard to open.
- Overview of the post and beam structure.
- Another view of the framing that shows the main beams supported by a stone. The many supports underneath the loft are also visible.
- The loft floor joists are actually supported by a rather small beam. Possibly replacing them with larger beams will allow removal of intermediate supports.
- It appears that some of the framing does not use mortise & tenon, but are propped up by boards that were added later.
- One view of the left queen post and girt that have been damaged by rot.
- A better view of the damage to one of the queen posts and the girt below. In the background you can just make out some damage to the plate, and a piece of plywood covering some rotten floorboards.
