Evie Loves Her Egg
Owen had some nice ones!

Box ‘er up!

I came home from work to find Evie comfortably watching TV from inside a packing box. Looks cozy…

Weekend away

Taking a trip to New Hampshire to pick up a sickle mower for the Cub Cadet. Thought the family would want some adventure instead of sitting home in the rain.

We made it to the hotel and had a dip in the pool. Now we are enjoying the complimentary cookies. No better way to ruin a kid’s appetite.

back in the old days

Our neighbors kindly gave us several pictures of the barns that were torn down by the previous owner. Our current barn is just a fraction of the size it once was which is kind of sad, but it has been difficult and pricey enough just fixing up this small part so perhaps we’re better off. (Imagine if we still had silos?!) Joel has been makings plans for a machine shed in the front of the barn with two bays since the Crankie (the Farmall) and Lil’ Rusty (the VW squareback) need a homes. They used to have a milk house in front and we could put on an extension that’s a little bit longer.

This picture was taken in 1974 when it was still a working dairy farm. It also was taken before all but our 2 acres of land was sold to developers and a road for the homes was put in right where the barn on the right once stood. It is nice to finally  see what the farm was like and when we come across an old foundation in the middle of the yard, then we’ll know what it was.

Now I know why snowblowers have cabs

The big snow didn’t materialize, but we got the Cub Cadet set up last weekend so I had to try it out.
