Saturday at Gram & Gramps

The kids’ cousin Bella will turn five next week, so we went to the grandparents to celebrate. Since it’s such a beautiful spring day, there’s no reason to not play in the dirt pile.

After running some errands, Sue announced that she was NOT cooking dinner. We stopped at one place and found an hour wait. Oh yeah, Valentine’s Day. So here we are at a local eatery.

This year Owen is a Coast Guard helicopter pilot and Evelyn is Princess Leia (Thankfully, not the Jabba Prisoner Leia, but the kick-ass Episode IV Leia.) As they’ve become older, they are also more bold about trick-or-treating. This year we went to nine houses, though four folks weren’t home and left bowls of candy on their doorstep.

Owen will not be outdone!

Not one to remain in his little sister’s shadow (see below), Owen decided to show what he can do. This handy ramp was ready to go, so he figured, “why not?”
