Crushed stone, scorched earth

Monday we decided to place crushed stone into the barn, after we used a compactor on the existing sand. It turned into quite the affair, indeed, since we decided that we would do it by the sweat of our brows. See, I had called my dad, who said, “You’d be surprised at how quickly it goes.”

Coincidentally, we did this on his birthday. So he can just consider his birthday present that we didn’t ask him to come down and help.

Owen got in the mix, though.

Below you can see the first truckload. We’ll likely use up all of the 34 tons that was delivered.
