Suzy and Joel and Owen and Evie

Not counting our trip to the modern furniture store in Armonk on the way home form the hospital to check out a rocking chair, this was our first big outing. We took advantage of Joel’s paternity leave and went down to Manhattan to buy some candy. Since cigars are no longer a thing for new fathers to pass out, Joel decided to get some candy from Jacques Torres. His shop, Chocolate Haven, is the only chocolate factory in Manhattan and you can watch them make the candy at the shop.We decided that two strollers would be easier to manuever than the double stroller. Here we are with our free, on-street parking. (I’m all about trying to find free parking.) We got the candy and took a quick spin through Soho and then went home. I wasn’t supposed to be doing too much walking, what with my abdominal surgery and all.
