Suzy and Joel and Owen and Evie

A couple of weekends ago Sue was dispatched to Chicago to (a) shop for furniture, (b) visit with a longtime friend (notice I didn’t say “old friend” which some folks would take the wrong way), and (c) get a mental break. This, of course, left Owen in his dad’s care.So, off to the fair! Spam sandwiches and ice cream!An agricultural fair in Westchester County, New York, is kind of like a fashion show in Iola, Wisconsin. Nevertheless, there were a half dozen cows, a few bored horses, and a tent of chickens – shared with rabbits. The Yorktown Grange fair is very kid-friendly, especially because the folks running the rides are a little more permissive when it comes to the short squirts. Owen had fun on his first merry-go-round ride, and waved to his Uncle Dave almost every time we went around.
