Scratch that off the list….

The weather forecast today was for a really nice day, so I figured I should ride to work. Normally, that’s not a big deal, but here we’re talking about a commute from Mount Kisco to Long Island Cityówhich meant surface streets through Yonkers, the Bronx, and part of Queens.

Truthfully, it was an uneventful ride. C’mon, I was going to work! Half of my ride was on the North County and South County Trailwaysórails to trails which are quiet, straight, and flat. The morning ride wasn’t too badótraffic was light through NYC, but the return traffic was nuckin’ futs! Remember this: all hell breaks loose in the Bronx.

All told, the distance is 45 miles from my house to work. It took three hours each wayóan hour for Yonkers, an hour for the Bronx, and an hour for the rest of the way.
